Welcome to DogeDharma.

This is When Your Teen Pulls Away. Five minutes of steady love, for when they need space.

If you're ever worried about their safety, please reach out to someone you trust for support.

Find a seat. A chair is fine.

Let your feet rest on the floor.

Let your hands rest in your lap.

Let your eyes close, or rest them low.

Breathe in slowly.

And let it out, long.

Once more. In.

And out.

Notice what's here. Maybe worry. Maybe missing them, even when they're close.

Growing up often means pulling away for a while. It can still hurt.

You can feel the ache, and still keep the door open.

Picture your teen, just as they are today.

Silently offer them this:

I'm here when you're ready.

You don't have to earn my love.

Now offer a little of that to yourself.

I'm doing my best to love them well.

A short quiet now. I'll come back softly.

I'm here again. One more full breath.

One small kind thing: send them a short, easy message that needs no reply.

When you're ready, open your eyes, if they were closed.

Do only good, every day.

Five minutes of steady love for when your teen needs space, and a little for you too.
